There is nothing wrong with your computer. Do not attempt to adjust your settings. I am controlling transmission. If I wish to make it louder, I will bring up the volume. If I wish to make it softer, I will tune it to a whisper. I can reduce the focus to a soft blur, or sharpen it to crystal clarity. I'm glad to make a contribution to the Post Card set. As I recall from having visited Universal Studios around that time, this was a roped off display set up in the terrace area of the tour. Visitors could stand in front of the lab and take their photos or just photograph the display itself.
